I worked with the Gates Foundation to design a site for their annual Goalkeepers event and report.

For 2018, I started out by performing a heuristic evaluation and a content audit of their existing event site.  As their site wasn’t intended to scale, we had an opportunity to restructure the entire site.  I reorganized the existing site content created a new site map accommodating the existing information while allowing for future scalability.  I blocked out a rational site structure and and added the new content for the coming year.  I wireframed all of the pages on the site and designed a navigation framework.  I worked with the visual designers to define a pattern library and wireframed the digital interactive report microsite that defined the content structure for the print report.

For 2019, I re-audited the site content, updated the navigation to incorporate archiving, and wireframed page updates. This year, we explored rich story telling in the digital and print reports. We achieved this by incorporating a wide range of rich media at every opportunity to help illustrate key points from the narrative.
